In our quest to see more of the world, we’ve accidentally stopped actually looking at it. We’ve all become experts at the "hop", that disorienting leap from an airport lounge in one city to a taxi rank in another. We’ve been conditioned to think that the faster we get somewhere, the more "holiday" we have. We wake up at 3:00 AM, navigate the fluorescent-lit chaos of airport security, and spend hours in a cramped seat just to "save time."
