Holidays to Sorrento will reward you with fantastic vistas, quaint and winding streets and tantalising glimpses of the culture and history of charming area located on the Amalfi coast.

Pompeii is easily accessible from Sorrento so you might like to include a trip to this famous historical site. You will probably come back with a good deal of respect for the power of volcanoes. Trips by car up and down the roads that edge the cliffs between resorts give some spectacular views.

In Italy holiday resort areas like the Adriatic Riviera you’ll discover long sandy beaches, tiny sheltered coves and a good smattering of historical Italy in its picturesque towns and villages. Cattolica's long broad stretch of sandy beach is a huge attraction in the summer months and, as you'd expect, there's a lively feel to much of this resort in the height of the summer. Both here and in nearby Rimini, there are countless places to eat, drink and generally have a great time. Italians themselves flock to this area every summer and there's a superb cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Enjoying a holiday to Italy on the Venetian Riviera will give you popular beach resorts and close proximity to the dramatic city of Venice. With golden sands, a waterpark, bars, bistros and discos, Lido di Jesolo makes a great base from which to visit Venice.

Sicily is a fascinating island laying claim to Europe's largest active volcano. Nearby Taormina is perched high on Monte Tauro and is a charming, mediaeval town renowned for its breathtaking panoramic views and ancient Greek Theatre. Taormina town also combines elegant shopping with a large concentration of excellent Sicilian bars and restaurants. Below the town but with easy cable-car access to it, is the sophisticated beach resort of Taormina Mare and Giardini Naxos.
