Holidays to Jamaica

Jamaica

Jamaica is one of those places that just gets under your skin. Maybe it's the beaches. Maybe it's the music. Maybe it's the food, the rum, the laid-back atmosphere or the unmistakable sound of reggae drifting through the air. Or perhaps it's all of the above.

Jamaica is far more than a Caribbean beach holiday. Yes, you can spend your entire week stretched out on white sand with a rum punch in your hand, but there's a whole island waiting to be explored when you're ready to leave the sun lounger. Think waterfalls hidden in the rainforest, dramatic mountain scenery, colourful towns, world-famous beaches and some seriously good food.

And then there's the Jamaican people. Warm, welcoming and full of personality, they are a huge part of what makes the island so memorable.

Why Book a Holiday to Jamaica

Jamaica has a completely different feel from many other Caribbean islands. It's vibrant, colourful, musical and full of character.

You can spend the morning swimming in crystal-clear Caribbean water, head into the mountains in the afternoon and finish the day eating jerk chicken while listening to live reggae.

Jamaica is all about the culture. Reggae is woven into everyday life, Jamaica is the birthplace of Bob Marley, and music can be heard everywhere from beach bars to local communities. Food is another huge part of the experience. Jerk chicken, curry goat, patties, fresh seafood and Jamaican rum all deserve a place on your holiday itinerary.

Visit Dunn's River Falls

One of Jamaica's most famous attractions, Dunn's River Falls is a spectacular series of waterfalls surrounded by lush tropical scenery.

You can climb the falls as part of a guided experience or simply enjoy the views and surrounding area. It's one of those experiences that makes you realise there's a lot more to Jamaica than its beaches.

Discover Reggae & Bob Marley

Music is part of Jamaica's identity, and no trip would be complete without experiencing some of the island's reggae culture.

Music lovers can visit the Bob Marley Museum in Kingston or head to Nine Mile, the village where Bob Marley was born. Even if you're not a huge reggae fan, it's a fascinating insight into the island's history and culture.

Explore the Blue Mountains

The Blue Mountains offer a completely different side to Jamaica.

Away from the beaches, you'll find spectacular mountain scenery, rainforest and coffee plantations. The region is particularly famous for Blue Mountain Coffee, considered one of the world's most sought-after coffees.

Try Jamaican Food

Jamaican food is reason enough to visit. From jerk chicken and jerk pork to curry goat, fresh seafood, rice and peas and Jamaican patties, the island has a fantastic food culture.

Make sure you try local food outside your resort too. Your all-inclusive hotel might serve some excellent jerk chicken, but Jamaica is where you want to eat Jamaican food.

Jamaica All-Inclusive Holidays

Jamaica is one of the Caribbean's best destinations for an all-inclusive holiday.

There are resorts to suit all kinds of travellers, from adults-only luxury properties to family-friendly hotels packed with activities. An all-inclusive Jamaica holiday means you can spend your days swimming, eating, drinking and relaxing without constantly reaching for your wallet.

But we'd recommend getting out and exploring too. Book a waterfall excursion. Visit a rum distillery. Try some local food. Take a boat trip. Head into the mountains. All excursions can be booked with us prior to going, or if your feeling spontaneous, most can often be booked the day before at your hotel.
