History probably isn't the first thing that comes to mind when you think about Antigua, but the island has a fascinating past. Nelson's Dockyard in English Harbour is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Antigua's most important historic attractions.

For one of the best views in Antigua, head up to Shirley Heights. The historic military lookout offers incredible panoramic views across English Harbour and the surrounding coastline. Sunday is particularly popular thanks to the famous Shirley Heights Lookout party, where you can enjoy food, drinks, live music and a Caribbean sunset.
