Your holidays to Cyprus would not be complete without trying the delicious range of local Cyprus cuisine. Halloumi cheese is commonly served sliced, either fresh or grilled, as an appetiser. Seafood dishes include Kalamari (squid) red mullet and sea bass. Other traditional Cypriot delicacies include Lountza (smoked pork meat), charcoal grilled lamb, Souvlaki (pork and chicken cooked over charcoal), and Sheftalia (wrapped minced meat). For dessert, you must try the Lokum (Turkish delight).
